A Day in the Life of a Design Assistant

A Day in the Life of an assistant...Where does it begin?

For My Assistant, Rachel, her day make look something like this...Be Warned, it's not as Glam as one might think!

1. Wake up

2. Go to class

3. Go to PT (for broken foot-ugh!)

4. Accomplish Important task list for high maintenance Designer (Me):

a. Pick up lunch, checks & sick kid from school

b. Sort 700 fabric samples by color, then texture, then name

c. Take kid to chiropractor

d. Shop for rugs, bronze trash can with lid, laundry basket with a small weave in a neutral color, hand towel with espresso stripes (preferably 1 1/2"w), and whatever else high maintentance designer thinks will fit in her car.

e. Go to bank

f. Pick up stamps

g. Mail packages and returns

h. Blog, Tweet, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, Facebook- Post on all

(Note: Best design assistant, Rachel, still has a broken foot and is in a cast thingy.

There it is! She's worth her weight in GOLD fabric and accessories. I Love her immensely! Plus we have a lot of laughs and fun!
